This is my first time doing a website…or at least doing a good website. I found an awesome video called How to Make a WordPress Website 2018 by James Stafford. He picked out the theme called Sydney, which was great because when I see all the themes in WordPress, I have no idea what to select and I end up changing eight times and making a big mess and then giving up. Then he walks you through step by step, until you know how to do everything–projects/portfolios, videos, social media links, text with beautiful backgrounds, sliders and menus. I realize I am going to have to scale back, I think I’ve used every kind of widget there is. So I highly recommend that you take the time to go through this video. It’s 1:35 long and I found I had to do it in chunks. But if you want to produce your own website to showcase your own work–which you really should do–this will make you look like a pro.

Eventually you will be posting your own stuff to the 2018incasummer.ca site. And I recommend that everyone develop their own website for your own portfolio. We don’t have time to teach full-on web design, so if you want your own site, you should register it OR you can get a free WordPress website…I think it has to have WordPress in the url, like www.wordpress.sheilalarose.com, but that doesn’t cost anything.
